The Central Bucks Chinese American Association (CBCA) Tennis Club offers a vibrant array of activities that engage its community and promote the sport of tennis. One of their standout programs is the summer camp, which catered to 12 enthusiastic students under the guidance of 5 experienced coaches. This camp provides intensive training sessions, focusing on both the technical and strategic aspects of the game, while fostering a fun and supportive environment for young tennis players to develop their skills and build lasting friendships.
In addition to the summer camp, the CBCA Tennis Club collaborates with Central Bucks East (CB East) for a co-sponsored fundraiser event. This event featured 12 skilled tennis players from the club who dedicated their time to teach 23 young participants. The fundraiser not only served as a platform for raising funds to support tennis activities and resources but also encouraged a spirit of giving back and community involvement. The interaction between the players and the kids fosters mentorship and inspires a new generation of tennis enthusiasts.
Moreover, the CBCA Tennis Club is committed to broadening its reach through free community teaching initiatives. Over the course of six classes, the club successfully engaged 35 students, supported by 15 coaches from four different school districts. These sessions aim to make tennis accessible to all, regardless of background or experience, and emphasize the importance of physical activity, teamwork, and discipline. By offering these free classes, the CBCA Tennis Club not only enhances the skills of the participants but also strengthens community ties and promotes the sport of tennis to a wider audience.
